A Case of Ramsey Hunt's Syndrome

ABSTRACT

Author experienced a case considered as Ramsey Hunt's syndrome by clinical symptoms and sings. 34 years old Korean housewife was admitted to this hospital because of acute appendicitis. And following the appendectomy under general anesthesia suddenly developed right side of facial paralysis and herpes oticus with pain of right auricle. But no tinnitus, vertigo, and hearing impairment were complained. For this case, prednisolone and antibiotic treatments were started, and treated the herpes oticus for two weeks, and recovered the facial paralysis for two months of the treatment as satisfactory result.
