A Case of Spinal Neurilemoma Appeared to Neck Mass

ABSTRACT

is characterized by a solitary lesion, situated along a peripheral nerve and radicular pain or unpleasant paresthesias on light palpation. Usually Spinal Neurilemoma is benign tumor and is originated from intradural extramedullary region. Our case extend to intramedullary region and appeared to neck mass. On T1-weighted image, the tumor arise from the spinal cord of C4, C5 and extend to the surrounding soft tissue of neck, forming a dumbbell-shaped tumor. On histologic examination, Antoni type A tissue and Antoni type B tissue were visualized. Recently we experienced rare case of neurilemoma arising from spinal cord of neck and so we report our case with a brief review of literatures.
