ABSTRACT

Acinic cell carcinoma, when it occures in the upper respiratory tract, arise from mucoserous glands. It represents no more than 0.5 to 1.0% of all mucoserous gland tumors. Acinic cell carcinoma is extremely rare in the sinonasal tract, and rare in minor salivary glands as such. According to Ordonez and Batsakis(1986), only four sinonasal cases have been reported. Recently, the authors experienced a 60 years old male patient who was carried out medial maxillectomy and postoperative radiotherapy. So, the authers first report a case of acinic cell carcinoma of nasal cavity in Korea with review of literatures.
