ABSTRACT

The neurilemmoma is a relatively rare benign tumor which may be derived from nerve sheath of the peripheral and cranial nerve. Frequently, this tumor is originated from the acoustic nerve. But there have been few cases reporting about the tumor arising from the parotid gland. Recently, authors experienced a case of neurilemmoma of the parotid gland, which origin was likely to be the facial nerve. The neurilemmoma with superficial lobe of the parotid gland was removed successfully, and the result seems to be satisfactory up to date. So, we report this case with brief review of literatures.
