Laryngeal hemangiomas can be divided into two groups : pediatric & adult. The pediatric type, which is typically subglottic, compromises only 10% of all laryngeal hemangiomas, but warrants particular attention because of the airwary disruption it may causes. The more common type is seen in adult. Approximately 90% of the these tumors occur in male, and usually arise on or above the vocal cords. The patients present with vague and often extended histories of hoarseness and occasionally dysphagia, hemoptysis, dyspnea. Recently, We experienced a case of laryngeal hemangioma occurred in epiglottis. A 28 year old woman was visited on March, 19. 1985 with chief complaints of dysphagia and dyspnea. The epiglottic hemangima was successfully treated with surgical excision of the epiglottis via suprahyoid pharyngotomy. So, We report this case with brief review of the literatures.
