ABSTRACT

Fibromas are nonmetastasizing, self-limiting lesions of proliferating fibroblasts. A peculiarity of fibromas is that they occur with extreme rarity in the soft tissues where fibrous tissue is most abundunt. Fibroma are usually subcutaneous in location and may appear from infancy to old age. The authors experienced a case of 8×6×3 cm sized fibroma of soft tissue on Rt. cheek. This 40-year-old female had suffered from slowly growing mass with slight pain on her Rt. cheek for these 10 years. The mass was removed under general anesthesia and confirmed as fibroma of the soft tissue on histopathological examination.
