Two Cases of Unusual Foreign-body in the Esophagus

ABSTRACT

Author reports recently experienced two cases of rare and interesting foreign body in the esophagus. The patients were a 20-year-old and a 65-year-old men complaining severe upper chest pain on swallowing. Under topical surface anesthesia, esophagoscopic removals were performed. The foreign bodies were found to be of a sharp square shaped, hard plastic package which enclosing two capsules of unknown medicine and a irregular shaped large artificial denture respectively. Some difficulties were encountered during endoscopic removal, however the procedures were uneventful. The patients were discharged from the hospital on next day without any complication.
