ABSTRACT

It was described when we reported ear operation on 1968, that the technic tought to be amended and developed till we reach the final goal in order to save many peoples who are suffering and sacrificing from the ear diseases. We reported the procedure and results about the intact canal wall tympanoplasty performed from July 1968 to July 1972. In attempt to avoid complications such as tenting, adhesion and canal narrowing in previous experiences, a new method of the operation was initiated since late of 1972 which seems to be lessen complications. This paper is dealing with the procedure and results on 301 cases from our late experiences of intact canal wall tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy performed from July 1972 to Feb. 1977, and the ossicle reconstructions for its bearing restoration.
